This a good certification for the basic understanding of Kickboxing techniques. Although they include sample choreography, I think a 15- minute video of a sample class would be beneficial. I enjoy the ease of on-line certifications, but always miss doing a class together like you do on-site!

Good course covering all aspects needed to lead a class.
Posted June 28, 2019 by Experienced Instructor Re-Certification
I've taught aerobic kickboxing and karate for over 20 years but needed a re-certification to teach at a new facility. This course gave me what I needed. It was a good review of what I knew and taught me a lot of the reasons I'd been doing things that I'd seen work for so long. I liked that it went into the motivational skills that bring students back over time. Recommend this training followed by side-by-side instruction partnering with an experienced trainer before leading a class on your own if you're new to this.

Certificate ID card
Posted February 25, 2020 by JJ
Looks like the ID card is still not available. It was the easiest method to show of certification. Questioned why it wasn't available 2 years ago, was told it was being worked on. Here it is 2 years later, and I still don't see it available.

I'd like to know what I missed on the exam to be able to review and better strengthen my knowledge in that area.
Good program but needs to be updated
Posted November 25, 2019 by RAW
Good program but needs to be updated with more current terminology. The videos need to be updated. Crying babies in the back, talking about cassettes and DVD. Make it generic, i.e. music so it stays updated. Lots of talk about step aerobics. It was HUGE back in the day, but it's not as big any more. Needs more updated examples.

Review material very helpful and easy to use. Test questions relevant to what we actually do as an instructor and not so much theory based. Fitour is right on track.

I really enjoyed the information in this training and the simplicity and yet, extensive information in it. The instructor was a little hard to stay with, but very thorough!
GREAT!! Easy to read and understand. Material was straight forward, I feel more knowledgeable in this area of fitness. Got it done in about a week! Super affordable.

Aqua Certification Primary
Primary Aqua Fitness
Posted January 12, 2020 by Jean Nauer Beloit WI YMCA Preschool Teacher and Primary Aqua Instructor
I am very pleased to have completed the FITOUR certification as a Primary Aqua Instructor. I have the training manual downloaded for future use and will be extremely helpful. The video was beneficial more with the water exercise demonstrations. The talking about the manual was rather lengthy, but needed. I wish there would be a way to find out about the questions that were incorrect or a way of finding what needs to be reviewed so when renewal comes up those particular areas will be useful to update and keep abreast on the certification. Again I'm very happy to have more knowledge to enhance my educational background.

Great instructions on a variety of aqua exercises! I use the notes often to build several different routines for my classes. I really appreciate the variety and overall body workout options. Keeps it fun, interesting and effective!

Another solid presentation of information on a much sought-after certification. Study guide was well-organized and comprehensive. The videos were handy.

would have liked to know which answers I missed and what the correct answer is. Also, when printing out my certificate it did not include the expiration date of the certification. it showed on the certificate, and the print preview, but was not included in the printed copy. That sucks, want to give my employer a cope of certificate, which includes the expiration date.

There was a question about the specific gravity of water. None of the answers were correct to choose from so I left the answer BLANK. I thought that leaving it BLANK was the correct answer because NONE of the options listed were 1.0 I was sad at the end of the test to learn that I got 1 answer wrong. Probably this very question about the specific gravity of water. I truly feel I should've gotten 100% on this test instead of 96%....

I've refreshed my knowledge of using the foam rollers successfully with this recertification.
A great Resource!

It's a test that requires a lot of knowledge about tissue and movement, but is a great addition for Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors!
Posted July 27, 2019 by Desert Girl
It would be very helpful to be given the correct answers for missed questions. Because of this I am giving the re-cert exam 4 stars.

Pilates Certification Primary
video could stand to be updated.
Posted December 2, 2019 by C. Abel
While the core information is good, the videos and pop culture references were so far out of date. Video taping , vcr, and Live with Regis and Kelly really show how old this course is, Fitour! Maybe it is time for you to re record!

Great information to get me started in cycling. I would have liked for Fitour to have posted or linked videos and online options for learning more detailed instruction for teaching this particular class.

Boot Camp Fitness Certification Primary
Good review and detailed analysis of conducting boot camp course
Posted August 14, 2019 by Calvin from Texas
The course study material was well defined. The exam was lengthy and sorted to captured a good breadth of the necessary resources and skills needed to conduct Boot Camp. I liked the time length and number of questions. The fitness detail drove home the point of ensuring safety, segregating to each group levels and understanding of the campnis worked from warm up to cool down and the muscle groups invovled.

Pilates Certification Advanced

The certification study material was comprehensive and I felt did a good job to prepare me to teach a safe and effective Pilates class. However, there was an exam question that didn't have a correct option for the multiple choice answers.

I took this primarily as an informational certification. My director now has me training clients. The information was sound and has tied in well with other trainings I’ve taken. I feel sure of my knowledge and my ability to train my clients. Thank you!
