FiTOUR® Primary Group Exercise Certification

Get started in the Group Exercise sect of the fitness industry by becoming a Certified Group Exercise Instructor with FiTOUR®. The FiTOUR® Primary Group Exercise Instructor certification will equip you with the necessary tools to begin your career teaching fitness and health to others in a fun and enjoyable group setting. The FiTOUR® Primary Group Exercise Certification is for new comers to the fitness industry and weight room attendants, sales staff, front desk staff and personal trainers who want to transition into teaching group exercise. The FiTOUR® Primary Group Exercise Certification is also great for those group exercise instructors who would like to brush up on instructor technique and execution or who would like to renew their group exercise certification.

Topics: Objectives of Group Exercise Instructor; five components of fitness; F.I.T. Principle; basic anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology; basic training concepts; basic nutrition and weight management; exercise safety and injury prevention; class formatting, music guidelines, cueing technique, choreography technique; and teaching specialty classes including step, hi/lo, kickboxing, circuit, and much more. After completing the FiTOUR® Primary Group Exercise Certification, you will be able to teach generally apparently healthy individuals based on ACSM guidelines.

This FiTOUR® Certification is approved for 5.5 AFAA CECs. Contact your certifying body to petition for CEC credits. This Certification course is six hours.

• Onsite Registration - $149 - Registration is received "at the door" of the facility on the date of the certification workshop (Study Materials will be shipped for a shipping and handling fee and received AFTER the certification workshop date.)

FiTOUR® Examination Technology
All FiTOUR® certification workshop examinations will be taken online at the FiTOUR® Exam Center located at www.FiTOUR.com within 90 days of the certification workshop date. FiTOUR® certification examinations are not administered at the certification workshop site.
